HOUSTON, TX — Traffic was moving normally again on US Highway 59 at Bissonnet Street in southwest Houston Friday afternoon. Houston TranStar showed normal traffic conditions at 2:30 p.m. Friday, over an hour after a crash downed power lines across the highway. The downed power lines had previously blocked all traffic on northbound and southbound lanes of US Highway 59 at Bissonnet Street, according to a tweet from the Houston Police Department.
