Hello! My name is Laurel, and I am an experienced babysitter/childcare provider looking for occasional date night and weekend work. I have over 10 years of experience caring for children of all ages; I am currently looking for work with kids 3 and up. My goal is to provide a safe and nurturing environment for your child with lots of play, learning and fun. I started working in childcare in college and continued it as a source of supplemental income through grad school and into my current job as an adjunct professor. I've done regular day and evening care for families, occasional date night babysitting, and after school care. I've also taught art and theater at summer camp, volunteered at elementary schools teaching reading, and worked with middle school students for academic enrichment. Basically, I love helping the next generation come into their own in whatever way I can. It's important to me to be consistent with your parenting style and to maintain your child's usual activities, expectations, and routines. I make sure the house is at least as tidy when you come home as it was when you left, and I'm happy to do small household tasks. I have very good availability on weekends and evenings, and sometimes during the day or on short notice. I am interested in working with a family on a regular basis, but my schedule is somewhat fluid so I am unfortunately not able to make a weekly commitment right now. I am fully vaccinated and got my booster at the beginning of November. I don't have my own car, but I have a license and a clean driving record and experience driving kids. San Francisco only.
