Here are the top stories today in Des Moines: One person has been arrested after a vehicle with a four-year-old inside was stolen from a gas station Thursday night. According to Des Moines Police, the suspect stole an SUV the Git N' Go on the corner of 42nd Street and University Avenue just after 6 p.m. Police later found the four-year-old safe on 47th Street and brought them back to their family. The suspect then tried to speed away from the police; the pursuit ended an hour after the theft when the driver crashed into a light pole on MLK Parkway south of Bennett Drive.
