NEWS RELEASE Effective Monday, Dec. 13, the Kansas City Municipal Court will launch a call center where residents can directly reach a customer service specialist working inside the courthouse. Residents will spend less time on hold, and will be able to speak to a representative without being transferred. Court specialists will be available Monday through Friday during normal business hours, 8 a.m.-5 p.m. They can be reached at (816) 513-2700 or by dialing 311 and selecting 2 for Municipal Court. In response to the pandemic, Municipal Court moved to a mix of virtual and in-person hearings, expanded the use of remote filings and DocuSign and upgraded the technology used to request a continuance. Additional staff have also been added to the in-court Resource Center to improve customer service.
