Embodying the progress and collective power of the feminist movement, while simultaneously acknowledging its glaring setbacks and discriminatory tactics, three LA-based choreographers, Victoria Brown, Marissa Osato, and Carissa Songhorian, lead the creative direction of a dance film exploring the racial tensions within the feminist movement. Part of MashUp Contemporary Dance Company's annual program commemorating National Women's Equality Day, the film promises to inspire moments of introspection while interrogating societal expectations.
Visit MashUp Contemporary Dance for more information about the dancers and the film.
