Description
Looking for a person of any age or gender who would be interested in helping me out with a credit assignment for a graduate-level psychology class focusing on influencing human behavior.
The task: Get a free cup of coffee.
The rules:
1. I cannot ask someone I know to buy me a cup of coffee.
2. I cannot offer anything in trade for the cup of coffee.
Ideally, the task involves starting a conversation with a stranger and by connecting with them so much that they are highly motivated to buy me a cup of coffee.
My problem: I don't like talking to strangers without a context. I don't like being shy, but I'm just not a people-person. I keep to myself and talk deeply with people with whom I have shared interests or who are part of a team on which I work. When there are shared goals to accomplish, I'm all for talking. People who work with me really like me and seek me out for conversations. But when it's just blah-blah-de-blah in general, I'm terrible.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, especially from someone who is intrigued by human behavior, influence, body language, voice tonality, and conversation skills. Outgoing a big plus.
Thank you.
