We just recently fell for a scam and noticed that another buyer fell for the same scammer! See pix of the other posting. Seller phone no . We had the exact same experience, very traumatizing. We picked up the puppy with the white paws on the same day as the other buyer. Due to questionable health concerns, we ended up surrendering the puppy to a shelter in the end - $580 for puppy and $125 for surrender fee! A Buyer Beware warning to be extra cautious on Craigslist. Lots of shady people looking to prey on innocent, trusting folks. Some clear warning signs that we ignored and learned the lesson the hard way: - when price is too good to be true - when seller only sends photos of the puppy parents and sets a meeting at a public location, not at the home where the parents are - vet records that are not from a legitimate vet clinic and no receipts for treatment - when seller pressures you into making a haste decision: meet up in a public place so you don’t have time to think and you have to act fast, says he can’t hold the puppy for a day with a deposit and that he has multiple appointments lined up after me with interested buyers - he said he even had someone who wanted to buy all 3 puppies but he said he was holding selling them for us
