Handyman with tools
Jobs
Jacksonville FL
Description
This is not a "fill in your available timeslots" position. Do not call if you have your own business. I am not recruiting for you. With that out of the way... I am looking for individuals and maybe teams that can help out with small jobs dealing with plumbing, electrical, installation, repair, furniture assembly, drywall repair, painting, and typical Make Ready items. You will work on your own 95% of the time. Self starter, a must. Requirements; The four T's Transportation. You need to be able to get to the jobsite with your tools, and probably materials. Time. I would like to set first appointments for either 8am or 9am, with 2 to 3 floating appointments afterwards. I also do emergency services if you have knowledge of plumbing or electrical, and that is 100% on call basis(and better pay). Training. Knowledge/skills/competency of one or more areas described above. Tools. I require you to "come to the table" with some to all of your own tools. If you need to borrow something to complete a job, that is perfectly fine. Within your first few pay weeks, you will need to have the vast majority of your own. Name brand tools preferred, as I will be billing you out, and paying you very well. Typical jobs will be $25 to $50 per hour. I bill $50/hour, 2 hour min. Majority of items will be flat rate pricing, but vary based on client type. To apply, please send Name, zip code(part of town), vehicle type, knowledge, and tools(general list) When discussing knowledge, there is always 2 sides. The knowledge to complete the job, and the ability(usually tool related). If you tell me that you can hang TV's, but don't own a 2' level, 1/4" impact, socket set, then be sure to specify that. Pay is weekly, with draws as an option in the beginning. This is a 1099 position, so income wont be reported until end of the year. Pay days are 4 days of the month, usually the 3rd, 10th, 17th, and 24th. I say usually, because I don't pay on Sundays, so I make payments on Mondays instead. Honestly, assuming all payments have cleared my bank, and I have been able to get the accounting aspect done, it will be the 2nd/3rd depending on Sunday. Pay "weeks" are as follows every month, exception for Sundays: 1st thru 7th, paid on the 10th, 8th thru 14th, paid on the 17th, 15th thru the 21st, paid on the 24th, 22nd thru end of month, paid on the 3rd.
