Description
Meet Shark! He is an energetic, loving, ~50lb, 6-month old Husky/German Shepherd mix. Neutered, chipped, and up to date on his vaccines through his first year, though I have not registered him with the county to get his rabies tag yet at the time of posting this. The ideal home for Shark would have a yard for him to run laps around, or would be with someone who is very active. Being a puppy, a Husky, and a Shepherd, he needs lots of time and attention for training, exercising, and playing. Shark loves children and absolutely adores other dogs, so if either of them are in your home, he would be ecstatic. (He loves cats too, but due to his Intense Puppy Vibes, cats are not into him -- he doesn't mind because he's more interested in eating their poop anyway.) He is a little nervous around very large groups of people, but he is content to sit and people-watch in those situations. Dogs that are significantly bigger than him can cause him some apprehension, but it doesn't take him long to feel comfortable. He is by no means a shy dog. Shark knows a few very basic commands, such as sit, lay down, and shake, but he definitely needs more training. He is potty-trained and sleeps in his crate through the night without issue. Shark is great on a leash and very rarely pulls. His worst habit by far is that he is inclined to bite those he is most excited to see. I know this could be a deal breaker for some. I will say that he is a quick learner and for someone experienced with dogs, I think it would be simple enough to break him of this habit. I am looking to rehome Shark because of a personal situation, but it is not a reflection of his personality or behaviors. He is a truly wonderful companion. I was never a dog person before I got him, but he has completely changed my mind. He is a very special boy. Shark comes with an XL Kong-brand crate, lots of high quality kibble, some stinky treats, and a few toys. There is no rehoming fee, I just want him to go to the right home. If you're interested in Shark, please shoot me an e-mail talking about your plans for him, what your home and lifestyle are like, why you want a dog or why you want Shark specifically, or any other details you care to include. Or if you have any questions!
