Description

| VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY | PTSD RECOVERY | GOAT ADVOCACY | HUMAN THERAPY | MEETING LOCATION: FOUR MILE HISTORIC PARK 715 S Forest St, Denver, CO 80246 ABOUT THIS MEETUP: Anyone who has good intentions to support the Goat Walkabout program is welcome to attend! We want to start meeting many more people interested and willing to support the program. We would like to share our vision about the program with others! There will be goats! Come get your snuggle on for a little while and meet the herd. We have some babies and some older goats that would love to meet their new volunteer advocates. THIS IS FOR AN INCREDIBLE CAUSE! ABOUT GOAT WALKABOUTS ADVOCACY MEETINGS: Goat Walkabouts is a Nigerian Dwarf goat hiking program that has an emphasis on PTSD recovery. Humans have hurting hearts and we have herds that have heavenly hooves to guide you and anyone else right to bliss. We just need everyone to know about it! The program began as a therapy resource for the PTSD community but it is growing beyond. There are many places we want to visit because the goats are just that great! We want to visit senior homes because we've found that some of the elderly population have never even seen a goat! Wow! We want to hike with more PTSD survivors and anyone who thinks they can benefit! We would like more advocates to be involved to train with the goats and grow the program with us through awareness raisers like Goat Parades around local lakes and parks with the goats. Imagine being a part of a goat parade and it is for a great cause! This is great for the goats because goats are migratory animals. They are meant to migrate from place to place and eat lots of vegetation that is in season. Most goats never get to explore anything because they are stuck on a farm but we aim to change that. These goats are amazing and deserve to migrate so we hike our herds with the humans that need it most. PTSD recovery is in demand and we have an incredible resource with our goat companions! Therapy comes in all forms and we have found an incredibly special resource. Please join us and let's send a message to everyone together as a herd! WATCH THE VIDEO BELOW TO VIEW A GOAT WALKABOUT! ABOUT RMGY ROCKY MOUNTAIN GOAT YOGA Rocky Mountain Goat Yoga has been cultivating smiles and happiness with Colorado goat herds since May 2017! Established and founded by entrepreneur Jim Naron, he has been working endlessly to create Colorado's goat yoga culture with a team of dedicated staff. Since our beginning RMGY has worked with several goat herds, rescues, ranches and farms. Not only do we strive to provide the best goat yoga events in Colorado but we also work hard to provide other unique services like Baby Goat Grams. We pride ourselves on our sanitation controls and our safety policies that create a safe and sanitary event, every time! If you have attended our lessons, you will notice how well our farmhands are trained and how alert they need to be to make your experience perfect! All of our goats are also trained! We work with the herds from around 3 weeks old when we start bottle feeding them. It isn't uncommon for a doe to reject one of her kids and we are happy to be their surrogates. The farmers we work with do most of the upbringing but the tricks and stunts are the result of RMGY training. These goats are truly goat yoga pros! When humans interact with animals in this way, their brain releases a chemical called Oxytocin and reduces the production of the hormone called Cortisol. Cortisol is the stress hormone that we all produce from hard and long hours at work. Staying up late on that homework assignment or any other life related issue. From a biological stand point, we are literally relieving stress in humans with goats. We enjoy cultivating smiles and happiness in Colorado! We are honored that Colorado has given us a huge warm welcome and we are excited to create the goat yoga culture in this beautiful state! Come join us at a lesson or watch one of our silly highlight videos. Either way, we hope you enjoy spreading the gift of kindness just like we do. Much Love and Baby Goats! ~Rocky Mountain Goat Yoga
