Description
Come network, play, and have deep conversations as we discuss breaking the rules of an ordinary life to live extraordinarily! What to expect: The event will open at 5:30 pm EST. You will have 15 minutes to mingle with the other women and ask me and Lee any questions you'd like before the main event begins. This will be an interactive event. You don't have to share or engage in the activities, but you are welcome to. (For those of you who are introverts and wanted to come, but balk at the thought of it being interactive. :-)) I will share some of my personal story briefly before introducing our main speaker Creative Coach Lee Mccraw-Leavitts, founder of Unruly Creators. We will invite others to share their own stories throughout the evening. Lee and I will lead us through vulnerable conversations, and provide skills that will help you break the rules of an ordinary life and begin striving for the extraordinary. The main event will go for an hour and people will have time to mill about and have deeper conversations afterwards. In the words of Lee Mccraw-Leavitts: I am an Artist, Creative Coach, and founder of Unruly Creators. I'm also a mother, runner, learner, vegetarian, and all-around ignorer of cat hair. I am an unruly creator who helps you find your way on the infinite other paths for living a rich, juicy life. Through my practices as a coach, a visual artist, and my lived experiences (gah! Stories for another day) I help you dismantle years of Very Important Rules that don’t actually, um, matter. Not if you are looking to live into all the colors you know, deep down, are possible for you. You’ve got this - and I’ve got you. 3 Topics we'll be going over at the event are: 1) As in Art, so in Life2) Creative time as part of your wellness plan3) Designing your own creative practice Find more about Lee at: https://www.facebook.com/leemccrawleavitt https://www.leemccraw-leavittarts.com/ 50% of the proceeds of the December 15th event will go to Ready Kids: https://readykidscville.org/ for anyone who decides to donate versus coming for free. The purpose of the event is to create a safe, non judgmental space for women to be supported by other women. For women to be able to create community while they vulnerably share without fear of shame, or antagonism regarding what their experiences are. Some of the subjects we'll cover in various group meetings will include how to navigate conflict, find balance, face fear, deal with imposter sydrome, boundaries, overcoming sexual assault, expectations of self and others; and so much more on the road to empowerment. This is a scent free event. I am severely allergic to marijuana so please do not smoke before coming to the event or have it on your person. You will not be admitted if you smell like marijuana and there will be no refunds. Please be courteous. If you have been sick with a head cold or any other type of sickness or have been around those who have in the last two weeks, please do not come to the event. If you have had Covid within the last four weeks or have been around someone who has, please do not come to the event. I'm a medical massage therapist and do my best to stay healthy so I can keep working. No one likes to get massage from someone with the sniffles. ;-) Racism, shame, and general antagonism will not be tolerated. Thank you for your respect and general mindfulness.
