Opening reception of the photo gallery exhibition that captures behind-the-scenes of MBAW's upcoming documentary film "The Quilt"! About the Event & ExhibitionJoin us for a behind-the-scenes look at the cast, crew, musicians and production process of the upcoming MBAW documentary film, The Quilt: A Living History of African American Music, viewed through the lens of photographers Robert Michaelson, Sarah Jane Hassan, Manuel Alejandro Hernández Cardona of CMC Studios, and MBAW staff. The exhibition will run from 8 January - 5 March 2022 and is open by appointment Monday – Friday, 10am-4pm. Visit our website to book an appointment. Tickets are available here and on our event calendar listing on our website. - What do I show at the door? To help our attendants, please have your ticket ready when you get there. Attendants will be ready to scan the QR code on your ticket (print, email, or app). - What if I forget to get a ticket(s) or don't have one when I get there? An attendant at the door can help you register and get in quickly and easily. If you have registered but have forgotten the ticket, an attendant can pull up your name and check you in manually. - What are the current health protocols I need to follow? Location: https://goo.gl/maps/ixiaKNns8Yi7CENU6 If you are coming from the south- Once you get to I-10 headed northwest, stay on until Exit 55. Then stay in the middle lane of the access road that will lead you to the slight left split in the access road, that leads to the under-freeway turnaround underneath 1-10 that hits Boerne Stage Road. Take turnaround and keep on access road, making your way to the far right lane. After passing HEB, Las Palapas, and Sun Auto finally, take the right turn at the Grey Oaks office park and park.If you are coming from the north- Once you get to I-10 headed south, stay on until Exit 552. Keep on access road, through the stoplight at Boerne Stage Road and eventually make your way to the far right lane. After passing HEB, Las Palapas, and Sun Auto finally, take the right turn at the Grey Oaks office park and park. Parking is free and overflow spots are available up the hill. Founded in 1998, MBAW is a performing arts nonprofit focused on promoting culture, education, and tourism through free/affordable concerts by emerging musicians and artistic collaborations.
