Hong Kong Economic & Trade Office, New YorkHong Kong Trade Development Council The Hong Kong Business Association of the Midwest (HKBAM) is the forum of choice for business executives involved in international trade with Hong Kong, Mainland China, and the Midwest region of the U.S.  HKBAM's mission is to provide a platform for members to network and exchange business information through organized events such as receptions, luncheons, and seminars.  Distinguished business leaders and senior government officials are featured speakers, and provide updates on major topics related to Hong Kong, China and the U.S. HKBAM is a member of the Federation of Hong Kong Business Associations Worldwide.  The Federation of Hong Kong Business Associations Worldwide is a unique network of 40 Hong Kong Business Associations in 29 countries and regions with over 11,000 individual associates.  These Hong Kong Business Associations were started by overseas traders, buyers and professionals, who have strong business links to Hong Kong in their respective countries.  With the help of the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), these Associations formed the Federation of Hong Kong Business Associations Worldwide in November 2000. The Federation aims to achieve synergy among the global network of Hong Kong Business Associations. It provides an effective base for member associations to network and exchange information, thereby, generating business opportunities.
