Description

Boston-based property management firm seeking self-motivated Janitorial Technician to perform assigned cleanings and routine upkeep for our clients’ properties. This position is performed outside of the office; ability to stand, travel short distances, and freely move throughout buildings must be possible. Background checks are performed as part of the job offer. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES • General building upkeep including sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, disinfecting, and dusting • General grounds keeping, clear buildings, sidewalks, and driveways of leaves and debris • Snow removal using both hand equipment and snow blowers • Provide building access while monitoring safety precautions, site cleanliness, job progress, and project results PRIMARY REQUIREMENTS • Knowledge of general cleaning products and tools • Exceptional customer service skills • Strong sense of urgency, attention to detail, and problem solving skills • Valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, and ownership of basic cleaning tools • Ability to speak, read, comprehend, and write fluently in the English language PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS • Must be able to lift and transport materials and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds on a frequent basis and up to 100 pounds on an occasional basis; prolonged standing and frequent bending, stooping, and reaching on a daily basis. • Requires a full range of physical motion in order to operate manual and electrically-powered tools, ladders, and equipment. Work is performed indoors and outdoors, occasionally in environments that are dusty, noisy, or which could have work hazards. Some night, weekend and emergency call in work will be required.
