Please join us for our Open House to tour the school, meet our teachers and to meet the school’s founder, Nikole Hannah-Jones Waterloo's own 1619 Freedom School officially opens in January and we’re opening our doors to the community to get a first look at where our students will be studying, reading, and learning! We will have food, drinks and music! Enter our raffle for a chance to win a signed copy of The 1619 Project: A New Origin Story! 1619 Freedom School Open House Sunday, December 19, 2021 6 pm - 8 pm 325 E. Park Avenue, Suite 204, Waterloo, IA 50703 *Families interested in enrolling their children can visit the school from 3:30 pm- 4:30 pm for open sign up. Capacity at any one time is limited. We will grant entry as space allows. Do not bring books to be signed. Enter the raffle for the chance to win autographed books.
