This conference will feature speakers, breakout sessions, networking and more.
This conference is the next step in our work through ACEs Aware. It will provide an opportunity to learn about ACEs work emerging locally and throughout the Central Valley, create connections to advance Trauma Informed Care in Kern County, learn about legislation supporting this work, and identify ways to advance health equity and support children and families.
We welcome participants from the Network of Care Partners, Community Partners, County Systems, Community Based Organizations, and community residents.
This conference will include keynote speakers, as well as breakout sessions and collaborative group meetings to learn more about how ACE screenings are being implemented in clinical and social work settings, and what steps are being taken to help clients mitigate toxic stress and receive the services they need.

First 5 Kern was established in 1998 when California voters passed Proposition 10, which levied a 50-cent tax on tobacco products. Revenues generated from the tobacco tax are used to fund local programs in the areas of health and wellness, early childcare and education, and parent education and support services that promote early childhood development for children ages zero to five. For more information on First 5 Kern and the programs we support, please visit www.First5Kern.org.
