In this program will look at different herbs and spices that will grow in Putnam County. Herbs and spices have played an essential role in human culture before written history. Today, people use these plants in various ways, such as food flavoring, perfumes, digestives, aromatherapy, and more. In this program will look at different herbs and spices that will grow in Putnam County. The program will be divided into Annuals, Perennials, Trees, and Shrubs. A small herb sale will occur at the program's conclusion. Proceeds from the sale will purchase plants and materials for herb and vegetable gardening at the ARC of Putnam County  The UF/IFAS Ext. Putnam Co Residential and Commercial Horticulture program interprets and disseminates science-based information to clients, helping them solve problems related to agriculture, horticulture, natural resources, and water.    The University of Florida's Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences (UF/IFAS) Extension is a partnership between state, federal, and county governments to provide scientific knowledge and expertise to the public.
