Black owned businesses often struggle to get off of the ground or stay afloat due to many reasons, but we want to specifically talk about redlining and how that affects business development in Black communities. Also, this workshop will focus on intricate skill sets, resources and knowledge that will help you develop a strong business plan or strengthen your existing business.

1.Legitimize the Hustle
Discussing and learning how to register your own business, drafting business plans, business cards, goal setting, and start up costs.

2. Establishing Business Credit and Finances
Discussing and learning how to register for your DUNS number and apply for business credit, record/bookkeeping, tax returns, and more!

Lunch Mixer
Mix and mingle with other young professionals, the panelists, organizations, business mentors, and special guests over lunch.
3. "Your Network is Your Network"
Emphasizes building your intrapersonal and interpersonal skills so that you can represent yourself and your business in the best light possible.
