Just how can "white privilege" be used to help in the Black struggle for liberation? Today we are entering into a new chapter of society. In an era in which most companies and governments are seemingly interested in diversity, equity, and inclusion. Never before in the history of America has this sentiment felt to be so sincere. Executive Director, Miquel Powell, BSW has been educating the Rochester, NY community on white privilege for a number of years at the historic agency The Reentry & Community Development Center, Inc. (www.rcdc-17.org). During Black History month we wish to continue the conversation of white privilege and also education the community on specific ways to use white privilege to help in the Black struggle for true liberation. Please come with your sleeves rolled up ready for tough dialogue and a speech from Miquel Powell. There will be food, entertainment, and guest speakers. All are welcomed. Please attend as we will follow all Covid-19 guidelines. "Rebuilding lives & communities, together." This community event is presented by The Reentry & Community Development Center. It has been planned by Miquel Powell, BSW, volunteers, and other community activists.
