Two performances 1:00 and 2:00. Then at 3pm Students from the Tropic Isles Elementary will perform: The Singing Sea Stars The Singing Sea Stars from Tropic Isles Elementary is the premier chorus for the school. It consists of students from grades 3-5 who have successfully auditioned to be part of this chorus. It provides its singers with an opportunity to come together to rehearse and perform a wide range of choral literature for children’s choir, as well as learning proper singing and performance techniques. Students are also given the opportunity to perform in both school and community events. The Junior Sea Stars The Junior Sea Stars consists of students from grades 1 and 2. This chorus provides young singers with an exposure to choral singing and performance. With the use of appropriate choral literature, the chorus learns different songs which, in the process, will help develop a love for music and singing. The chorus is also given opportunities to perform for the student body as well as community events. The Ukulele Club This instrumental group consists of 3rd – 5th grade students who want to learn a string instrument – the ukulele. They learn simple chord progressions while learning various songs from simple to more complex. These students have the opportunity to showcase their talent by playing both at our school and other community locations.
