The Town of Sharon seeks a full-time (40 hours/week) mechanic to join the team in the Department of Public Works. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: Maintenance and repair labor on Town equipment and vehicles, complete auto body work, perform related welding and metal work, and answer road calls. Required to perform a wide variety of technical and physically demanding duties for extended periods of time, i.e. snow storms, etc. Qualifications and Experience: High School DiplomaMassachusetts Class B Commercial Driver’s LicenseMassachusetts Class 2A Hoisting Engineer’s LicenseCORI check and mandatory drug testing upon hire Starting salary: $25.00/hour; increasing to $26.07 after one year.
