STAMFORD, CT — Two students from Turn of River Middle School were taken to Stamford Hospital on Wednesday because of a medical emergency, according to the Stamford Advocate.
The Advocate reported that the students said they had trouble breathing. Justin Martin, a spokesperson for Stamford Public Schools, told the Advocate "a child ate or drank something that resulted in a medical emergency." He didn't provide any other information.
The school sheltered in place out of an abundance of caution.
"Both students are OK," Sgt. William Brevard of the SPD said Friday morning. "The cause of the illness is still being looked into."
