Press release from the Bellevue School District: December 8, 2021 Since February, BSD has hosted a total of 22 vaccine clinics, administering more than 10,450 shots for our students, staff and volunteers. We are thrilled for this continued opportunity to support health and safety in our schools in such a big way. Children ages 5-11 recently became eligible to receive COVID-19 vaccines. At our latest clinic for this age group, we asked families how they felt about this opportunity: "I feel a tremendous sense of relief from the constant worry, and I am grateful we can do this right here in Bellevue." -Danielle Edwards "I'm very grateful the district was able to organize this so quickly. Our children feel very happy as it brings them one step closer to being able to interact in person with their family and friends. They had no side effects from the vaccine after their shots — they were fine." -Jessica Strazzulla "My children are really excited to get vaccinated in order to return to some sort of normal, such as visiting grandma. They have not had any side effects other than a sore arm for a day or two." -Elida Castellon "Gabby was super excited about getting vaccinated so that she can come back to school in person. She changed her outfit three times to have the perfect outfit for the clinic." -Estella Weigand "Our family is excited for him to be vaccinated to keep him safe. We hope more students have the opportunity as well." -Chhoun Mey Learn More For more information on where to find a vaccine clinic near you, visit our Vaccinations webpage.
