ANDOVER, MA — Andover's positive coronavirus test rate was higher than the statewide rate over the last two weeks, according to the latest Department of Public Health community-level data released Thursday.
Just over 1 in 20 tests, 5.11 percent, came back positive in Andover from Nov. 21 to Dec. 4. Statewide, the positive test rate was 4.46 percent.
The weekly average positive rate hit 5.01 percent statewide Thursday.

In that two-week period, Andover had 196 cases, up from 167 in the previous week's report. That's 38.8 daily cases per 100,000 residents, on average.
The school district reported 23 cases this week, including six at Andover High School.
The latest data also shows that over three-quarters of Andover residents are now fully vaccinated. Over 85 percent have received at least one shot.
The town's most recent report, released Dec. 3, showed 45 percent of the town's cases were among the unvaccinated.
