The company is leasing 14,000 square feet at 101 Oak St., the former home of Heritage Center/ARC of Erie County. Owner/founder Matt Kahn has said the Big Ditch taproom and production space at 55 E. Huron at Ellicott will remain. (WGRZ.com)The Buffalo and Erie County Botanical Gardens donated a record amount of fresh produce to a community in need. More than 700 pounds of fresh, organic produce was donated to Gerard Place's Community Kitchen this year to help feed a community of people where the need was three times greater because of the pandemic. Gerard Place provides housing for homeless, single parents and their families, and empowers those parents through education, employment, vocational training, life skills classes, and counseling.
