MIDDLETOWN, CT — A man was caught breaking into vehicles during the overnight hours Thursday in Middletown, according to police. Police responded to the area of Denison Road early Thursday morning on the report of a man breaking into vehicles. "The midnight shift responded to the area and set a perimeter up," police wrote in a post on Facebook. "After a brief on scene investigation, Officers were able to locate the suspect, later identified as Kenneth Lyn Morehouse." Morehouse was taken into custody without incident, police said. Morehouse was charged with seven counts of criminal attempt at third-degree burglary and one count each of conspiracy to commit third-degree burglary, criminal attempt at sixth-degree larceny and conspiracy to commit/use of drug paraphernalia. "Excellent collaborative effort by the Midnight Shift!" police said.
