Here are the top stories in Burlington today: The best holiday lights in Burlington will be crowned soon in the city's 3rd Annual Holiday Lights Contest. People who live in homes, apartments, and duplexes can all enter, just as long as judges can see your decorations from the nearest street. The contest is sponsored by Burlington Electric Department, so there are bonus points to making your holiday display energy efficient. (WCAX)Almost all of Burlington's fire resources were called to the Catamount Studios on Church Street Thursday afternoon for a suspected fire. Around 4:30 p.m., crews received a call for a haze in the building. When the first crew spotted the smoke, they called in more resources. Battalion Chief Ed Webster said it was the result of a burnt-out furnace motor, and there wasn't actually a fire.
