ROUND ROCK, TX — A man is in custody after Round Rock police say he barricaded himself inside a home for several hours Wednesday.
John Robles, 30, was arrested and taken into custody on a felony warrant for aggravated assault probation violation, police said.
Here is more information on today's event: pic.twitter.com/BzDaMA2u0b— Round Rock Police (@roundrockpolice) December 9, 2021 Authorities said the incident began around 1:15 p.m. in the 1300 block of Garden Path Drive after police say they were responding to a request for assistance from the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services.
Officials said the incident escalated into a barricaded person call, which prompted SWAT to respond around 6:45 p.m.
Robles was later arrested and booked into the Williamson County Jail. He remained in custody on Thursday.
Robles faces two additional charges: aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and interfering with public duties, according to jail records. His bond was not yet available.
Police said there was no indication this incident was a threat to the public.
