Bay 101 is opening its doors to entry level Chip Runner positions that allow for no gaming experience or knowledge. Bay 101 promotes from within and allows for easy transitions to Floor Person or the ability to apply for in house Dealer training. Bay 101 Casino in San Jose offers an exciting cardroom environment, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We are looking for individuals who have an upbeat positive attitude, excellent cash handling skills, superb customer service experience, and is motivated to learn something new in an exciting industry! We are a 24 hour/7 day a week business and always looking for qualified, full time employees who may work flexible shifts/schedules. At Bay 101 we expect all employees to provide exceptional guest service with an upbeat positive attitude. We strive to provide a safe and comfortable work environment during this time which includes Bay 101 funded PPE to all employees. WORK ENVIRONMENT: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand or sit for up to 2 hour at a time; bend, reach, sort, count, stack or sort chips, supplies and materials. Scheduling requirements will include nights, weekends and holidays. Bay 101 ensures a clean and safe work environment. Employees must perform duties in compliance with safety and current sanitization procedures for Covid-19. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Sell chips to customers. Exchange chips for cash or chips for chips. Fill podiums with chips in accordance with Bay 101 procedures. Assist customers to table/seat. Provide customer assistance to players. Assist Floorpersons as needed in accordance with Bay 101 policies and procedures. Assist in maintaining gaming tables and playing floor area in neat, clean, and work-safe condition. Complete or maintain cash transaction logs in accordance with Bay 101 policies and procedures. Such other duties as may be customary or as otherwise directed by supervisor or cardroom management. There will be paid on the job training for progressive positions. QUALIFICATIONS: • Must be at least 21 years of age • Must successfully pass background check and city of San Jose badge process • Must be able to communicate effectively with guests in English. • Have open availability (we are open 24-7) • Exceptional basic math skills, able to count and change money or chips. • High attention to detail • Trustworthy, strong work ethic, and integrity • Must successfully pass drug screening. • Able to lift/push/pull up to 25 pounds. • Able to stand for extended periods of time. • Language skills desirable, we welcome diversity! COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS: Starting compensation is $15.45 hourly, plus tips. Employee benefits are available for all qualifying full-time employees after 90 days including: paid time off, medical and dental insurance, and 401K benefits.
