Description
Sanitation associates play an important role in the Food and processing industry by cleaning production equipment, machines and work areas in food processing facilities. We’re currently in the process of releasing new products and are looking for energetic and enthusiastic individuals to add to our team. Shifts Start at 8:30 pm - 5 am $19 per hour Get paid every Friday! Over-Time Available! If this sounds like something you're interested in, please give me a call, send me a text (510) 203-7885 Key responsibilities: • Read chemicals labels or safety data sheets SDS to learn how to properly handle chemicals they will be using. • Make sure to check, before use the proper chemical being dispensed. • Properly wear PPE when handling chemicals. • Adhered to manufacturing practices and SQF requirements. • Be trained and properly use LOTO lock out/tag out. • Proper handling, storing and preparing cleaning chemicals, sanitizers. • Check chemicals concentrations. • Verify clean less of equipment using test swab device. • Collaborate with other departments staff to ensure that food safety and cleanliness are being implemented • Reported any food quality, safety issue to supervisor. Maintained equipment service and assured proper replacing of parts after servicing. • Documented work details as per regulatory requirements. • Stayed current on cleaning methods and procedures. • cleaning floors, walls, sidewalks and windows, daily trash removal, cleaning restrooms and lunch designated areas. • Responsible for the proper cleaning of the equipment assigned following the 8 steps for cleaning and sanitation process. • Some areas will require the use of the floor scrubber or buffer daily. • General cleaning around the plant include following the master sanitation Schedule. • Clean and organize boots by size on daily basis. • Maintain smoking area clean. • Maintain clean outside premises. • Train in the proper use of the corrugated compactor • Maintain and proper dispose of the food waste • Maintained work area clean and sanitized • Maintained equipment service and assured proper replacing of parts after servicing. • Collaborated with sanitation team to clean plant area and equipment. • Checked and distributed safe and quality food. Requirements Position Qualifications: • Create and maintain an efficient, hygienic, and positive working environment • Promote safety in the workplace • Promotes team work • Display good work ethics, resourcefulness and organization • Understand the SSOP and inspection regulations • Ensure quality work performed • Ability to work weekends and extended hours as necessary • Handling cleaning equipment such as high-pressure water hoses • Ability to reach, bend, stoop and lift up to 50 lbs. • use of ladders to reach high areas • Demonstrated on-the-job training skills. • Ability to meet labor standards for each function as established by LTF • Follows proper housekeeping and cleaning standards as set by LTF
