Description
PROVIDENCE, RI — While Rhode Island is still free of indoor mask requirements for now, Gov. Dan McKee said Thursday that he is considering it.
McKee said he is in "daily" communication with the Department of Health and other state leaders, and they are "in conversations about the issue."
"We're open to it," he said. "Everything's on the table."
For now, McKee said he'd rather focus on encouraging Rhode Islanders to "make the right decision" of their own accord, rather than requiring that they wear masks indoors, in a similar approach to vaccines.
