CHARLEROI, PA — The parents of a 1-year-old child found dead in an apartment wall have been charged with homicide.
Kylie Wilt, 25, and Allan Hollis, 27, also have been charged with aggravated assault, conspiracy, concealing the death of a child, abuse of a corpse and obstruction of justice, according to Washington County District Attorney Jason Walsh's office.
Charleroi Regional Police went to Wilt's Lookout Avenue residence last month to assist Children & Youth Services personnel with locating the child. Wilt had claimed the child was with someone else out of state but was lying about the child's whereabouts, according to Walsh's office.
During the investigation, Wilt admitted that the child died in February and the body was placed in a crate. When Wilt moved to her current address, Wilt placed the crate with the body inside a bedroom wall then covered it with drywall and new paint to conceal it, according to Walsh's office.
Police located the remains in that location.
