PACIFICA, CA — A Pacifica child daycare center employee was arrested Tuesday on suspicion of child abuse, according to the Pacifica Police Deparmtent.
Pacifica resident Mikala Ghiraduzzi, 20, was charged with three counts of felony child cruelty and two counts of misdemeanor willful cruelty to a child.
The arrest came following a five-month investigation after police received information about Ghiraduzzi's behavior at the daycare center and that she was possibly harming children, according to police.
The facility fired Ghiraduzzi after learning about the allegations and cooperated with the investigation, police said.
Pacifica police said they conducted four search warrants over two counties during the investigation, and that they worked with the district attorney's office to identify and notify all potential victims.
