Description
OAK LAWN, IL — Alissa Medina has come a long way during her competitive cheer career at Oak Lawn Community High School. She's come so far that now she is pushing herself to excel and teaching junior varsity cheerleaders to improve their skills. This is a valuable asset for head coach Maria Vanderwarren to have on the team.
"Alissa has come a long way since her freshman year on the team," Vanderwarren said. "She is focused, extremely determined, and she makes our team one of her priorities. She teaches our JV squad skills that are needed, and she pushes herself to be her very best. Most of all, never giving up is her strength."
"Alissa is an excellent performer on the competition mat, and we are fortunate to have her as part of our squad."
