Original Rock Band Needs Synth/Keyboard Player

Meets

Denver CO

Description

I am a songwriter, guitarist and singer who has been playing solo and in bands for 25 years. My new band currently has a bass player and lead guitar player. I am currently looking for a drummer and keyboard player to complete the band. The band is Denver-based, and will rehearse in the Denver area. This band will play my original rock songs. We are not, and never will be, a cover band. The musical style includes a variety of rock styles, ranging from hard rock to psychedelic rock to others. I will be writing new material, and am open to collaborating with band members on the songwriting and arrangements. You can hear my past recorded music at: https://robroper.bandcamp.com/album/the-way https://totalflowerchaos.bandcamp.com/album/roses Although the studio keyboard players who played on my past albums were mostly into the Hammond sound, I'm actually looking for someone who is mainly into analog synths, and can create cool analog synth pad sounds. That's especially important for the newer material I'm writing. Of course, the ability to play piano and organ would be useful on a few songs. Backing vocals and/or rhythm guitar skills would be a bonus, since some of the hard rock songs don't have keyboards. This is what I expect from all my bandmates: 1. Musicians who like my songs and love playing them. If you don't love the music, there's no point being in the band. There's no money to be made in this business. What little we make will be reinvested in the band for rehearsal space rental, videos, merch, etc. 2. Good musicianship. Dedicated semi-professionals or serious amateurs who are good at their instruments, come to practice prepared, and communicate with the band leader. 3. Musicians who will consider this band their own, and who will share in the band work and promote the band to everyone they know. Just showing up for rehearsal and gigs isn't enough. To be clear: I am not looking for hired gun professional musicians. I'm not hiring a backing band. I'm forming a band. Please don't contact me until you have listened to some of the songs on my Bandcamp sites. If, after hearing the songs, you think this band might be for you, then email me at the Craiglist address. Tell me something about your musical background, your phone number, and the best time to call you.
