Caring, young family located in Folsom, seeking a dedicated and doting care provider for their newborn and two, school age boys (older boys both in school a good majority of the day). Family is seeking someone who walks into the house every day with a great attitude and a loving, happy disposition. Minimum 2-year commitment. Must be an experienced, mature candidate who will care for their children like their own. They are looking for someone who will provide a safe, loving, stimulating, and educational environment for their child while they are working. In addition to childcare, the role will require light household duties and errands as needed. Being educated with safe sleep practices is also a plus. MUST BE PRESENT - We are not looking for someone who will be on their cell phone, laptop, or watching tv. If you cannot step away from your technology, this is NOT the role for you. Schedule- M,W,F 7:30 am-4:30 pm Tu 7:30 am-12:30 pm One day off for Grandparents to help. Either Thursday or Friday can be taken off. Client is flex. Pay: $18 DOE per hour + additional benefits such as PTO and paid holidays Your key attributes: Calm and gentle - does not overstimulate Joyful personality - always in a good mood Can-do attitude - does not get flustered Great and direct communicator - maintains daily log on how the day went and pertinent details of the child’s development Loves being a nanny - doesn’t view this as a job, but more an opportunity to help mold a child and make a positive impact on their development and the family as a whole Safe, loving, and nurturing Reliable and Punctual Multi-tasks with ease Flexible - must be somewhat flexible with hours Proactive - anticipate the needs of the family before being asked Primary responsibilities - first and foremost, creating an attentive and loving environment for the child and in-depth knowledge of child development and stages of growth Create a stimulating environment filled with play that is both educational and fun Maintain a routine schedule for baby, especially maintaining nap schedule Sleep training a plus Reading, singing, and sensory play Makes suggestions on toys and activities Driving and pick-up’s from school. Having a large vehicle is a plus, but family does have an extra car as needed. Secondary responsibilities - household management Laundry for children Meal’s for kids and light dinner prep for parents (ie chopping veggies, boiling pasta, crock pot, or oven dinners NOT looking for a chef) Light Housekeeping and organization Light Errands such as grocery shopping Must Haves: COVID vaccinated ideal not required CPR & First Aid training Clean driving record, no DUI or DWI Non-Smoker 3+ years of nanny experience 3+ years of Newborn/Infant experience Multiples experience Safe car for running errands Be able to provide 3 - 5 supervisory references Healthy and active - able to lift, hold and carry a child Child development background ages and stages a plus
