I have these 2 sweet male rats that need their forever home. They are around a year and a half old. I rescued them from someone in Atascadero who hadn't been able to care for them or handle them in a while due to severe allergies to them. The brown and white one is Shrek, he's a big guy. He is less social than the other but really starting to come around. He got along well with other rats I have. Brian is the darker more solid brown one. He is more social with people but shouldn't be with any other rats beside Brian. As far as I know they have been together their whole lives, and Brian didn't take lightly to meeting other rats. I've had them for a few months and have got them to a much more social point. When I got them they were much more skiddish. They would probably benefit from an owner who's has some experience with rats, but that's not essential. The one with more white take treats a little fast so watch your fingers. Aside from that they've never done more than nice nibbles while out, they even let my 4 year old pet them. They don't need a ton of maintenance or attention. They are mostly litter trained so their cage will stay fairly clean if that's changed every few days. They are on oxbow brand food you can find online or at PetSmart. I am willing to re-home them for free with their cage and accessories and a small bag of food as long as you assure them a good home.
