Canvaworks, Inc is hiring for Machine Operators. No experience necessary! Duties: - Run cutting machines. - Run fabric welding machine. - Set up fabric on cutting tables. - Cut fabric runs for welding blanks. - Select and run the correct nests. - Stack cut fabric neatly, in the approved manner. - Deliver cut fabric to sewing stations. - Maintain a clean and safe working environment around the cutting machines. - Weekly cleaning and maintenance of cutting machines. - General light cleaning, same expectations as all other employees. - Other light duties throughout the shop as needed. Skills: - Basic math, reading, and writing skills. - Basic computer skills; finding files in folders, saving and deleting files, etc. - Accurately use a tape measure and other measuring tools. - Safely and accurately use common hand and power tools. Competencies: - Attention to detail. - Strong communication skills, especially regarding communicating questions or problems with assigned jobs or expected work. - Willingness to learn new skills throughout the shop. - Ability to work independently. - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. - The desire to create exceptional products.
