Title: Resort Operations Team Member Reports to: Hotel Operations Manager and Events Director Department: Group Sales and Events Classification: Hourly Non-Exempt Overview: We are looking for highly organized candidates with excellent interpersonal skills for the position of Resort Operations Team Member. This position is responsible for working under the instructions of an event director/manager, assuming the role of set up and tear down of events, aiding with various task in departments throughout the resort, and running food to buffet lines, among other duties. Moreover, event ROTM’s need to constantly be on their feet and attend to many needs, requiring physical stamina and high energy levels. Qualifications Motivated to maintain excellent customer service reputation Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English Outstanding organizational skills Strong attention to detail Positive attitude, outgoing and friendly Desire to contribute to a supportive and effective team Ability to work effectively and efficiently in a fast-paced setting Able to follow directions and stay on task Afternoon/Evening/Weekend/Holiday availability Willingness to learn Essential Job Functions • Assists in the setup and tear down of event and banquet venues which includes but is not limited to moving tables, chairs, setting tables, setting food service lines, and moving various objects of furniture • Working under the instruction of an Events Director/Manager • Ensuring that the event space, Inn, and Park are clean and organized • Adheres to safety standards • Sets up lighting, sound equipment and other visual equipment • Inspecting equipment for damage after use and checking it against the inventory list • Tears downs event spaces when event is concluded • Assists with housekeeping, public areas, laundry and Trolley Stop when needed • Complies with all standard operating procedures • Reviews and has a thorough understanding of all function sheets to execute scheduled events • Communicates additional charges incurred by guests to supervisors • Finishes daily tasks within the given time frame • Assembles furniture for resort • Loads and unloads work trucks and often hauls miscellaneous items Secondary Job Functions • Working at a concession stand or buffet lines to serve food and drinks • Dispensing useful information to the eventgoers. • Pass TIPS training • Complete IPACT class • Take the required Human Trafficking Prevention Course • Assist with updating Inventory • Maintains a neat, clean, and professional appearance • Performs additional duties as assigned by Hotel Operations Manager or Events Director • Reports room status and maintenance problems accurately and timely • Performs basic maintenance skills such as plunging toilets, changing light bulbs, removing debris from tub drains, and changing out ceiling tiles • Properly handles, labels, stocks and stores chemicals and cleaning supplies • Protects guest belongings, turns in lost and found items immediately Heavy physical workload and excessive bodily motions include but are not limited to: Physical Requirements ➢ Constant repetitive motion ➢ Sporadically able to lift, push, pull and carry up to 100lbs ➢ Continually be able to stand in place for long periods of time ➢ Must be able to withstand temperature extremes below 30 degrees and above 105 degrees ➢ Consistently use hands to grasp, control, and move objects/tools ➢ Must be able to exert well-paced mobility to maneuver between functions occurring simultaneously This position has exposure to environmental factors that include but are not limited to: Working Conditions and Environmental Factors Able to tolerate exposure to dust and cleaning chemicals Sporadically work in all areas of the property Is subject to frequent interruptions and may need to reprioritize activities Subject to the handling of and exposure to chemicals, detergents, and cleaners Is subject to exposure to bloodborne pathogens
