A Traditional Ecological Knowledge (TEK) Native Seed Workshop will be held on Sunday, December 19th from 10 AM to 3 PM at Sol Sanctuary Ranch in Paradise. The TEK Native Seed Workshop is a collaboration between TEK Chico & the Camp Fire Restoration Project to begin a living native seed bank on the Ridge. This workshop will be a crash course in basic seed anatomy, gathering and processing seeds, learning about fire-adapted seeds and where, how, and why to plant them. Light refreshments will be provided. It is recommended you bring your own drink vessel, snacks, closed toed shoes, hat, trowel, notebook, and pen. Donations for event are accepted but not expected. BONUS: There will be FREE COMPOST SAMPLES from Paradise Community Compost, with more available for purchase!
