On Saturday, December 18th, at 1 PM, join Professor Mike Draney, Biology Professor at UWGB, at Christa McAuliffe Park (3100 Sitka Street). We will walk and talk about why winter is such a difficult time for plants and animals. Attend so that you can see some of the amazing adaptations Wisconsin species have to deal with winter conditions. During the hike you will look for the possible subtle signs of life during the cold half of the year. Be sure to dress for the weather and be prepared to encounter a few hills and unpaved trails.
