The 27-year old rapper Tee Grizzley was raised by his grandmother in the Joy Rd. & Southfield neighborhood in Detroit, Michigan. Grizzley was the first member of his family to attend college in generations, and attended Michigan State University to study finance and accounting. He was sentenced to nine months for a robbery. While incarcerated he started taking rapping more seriously and wrote his entire debut album behind bars. The month after he came out of prison, Tee Grizzley released his single, "First Day Out," which peaked at #48 on the Billboard Top 100. In less than three weeks, it had gained over two million views on YouTube. “First Day Out,” as well as his third single “From the D to the A ft. Lil Yatchty” ended up going Platinum. Since then, Grizzley has produced multiple Gold & Platinum Records such as “No Effort,” “My Moment,” and “2 Vaults ft Lil Yatchty.” To this day, Tee Grizzley is one of the hottest rappers out right now debuting his 3rd studio Album “Built for Whatever.”
