Season's Greetings! Please join the Washington Association of Black Journalists (WABJ) as we close out 2021 and celebrate DMV area Black journalists, media professionals, educators and students. This is a fundraiser to support WABJ scholarships, professional development programming and our longstanding Urban Journalism Workshop for high school students. There will be prizes and surprises. Location: The Gathering Spot DC, 1720 I St NW, Washington, DC 20006 Date & Time: Thursday, December 16, 2021 | 7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Attire: Holiday festive Tickets: Please purchase your tickets via Eventbrite. There will be no cash transactions at the door. All sales are final; no refunds. Ticket sales will remain open until the guest list is full. ASK TGS FOR CAPACITY LIMIT. Professionals: $45 — Party admission and annual full/associate membership $40 — Only holiday party admission Students: $20 — Party admission and annual membership. Students are required to submit a copy of their current college ID via [email protected] after purchasing tickets. Donors may sponsor a student. By purchasing tickets and attending this event, purchasers assume all risks associated with COVID-19. The venue is requiring all attendees to show proof of vaccination or a negative test within 72 hours of the event. Attendees are also asked to wear masks except when eating or drinking. There will be sanitizing stations on site.
