Join us for an evening of dinner, dancing, and fun!! This event allows us to take our 2021 families to National Police Week.
Indiana Concerns of Police Survivors (COPS) is a non-profit organization that assists law enforcement agencies with developing workable plans for handling survivors during the trauma affiliated with the sudden loss of a loved one in the line of duty.
We have developed specific guidelines to address not only the tangible procedural issues, but also the emotional support necessary for the survivors of fallen officers.
Annually, between 140 and 160 officers are killed in the line of duty. These tragic deaths leave the families and co-workers of fallen officers searching for ways to cope with their tragic loss.
Membership is free to all survivors, including spouses, children, parents, siblings, significant others and affected co-workers.
Some of the emotional support and tangible resources members can receive through COPS include:
Peer support at the national, state, and local levels
Retreats for spouses, parents, siblings, children, in-laws, and co-workers
COPS Kids counseling programs
COPS Kids summer camp
COPS Teens Outward Bound experience for young adults
Admittance to the National Police Survivor's Conference
Scholarships
Trial and parole support
Additional assistance programs
We need your support in order to live out our mission and provide services to the survivors of law enforcement officers. Our efforts are funded solely through individual donations and the proceeds of our fundraising events.
