Chihuahua Mix Rehoming

Dewy is a two year old long hair Chihuahua mix. He is approximately 20lbs. Dewy was found by a coworker wandering on the west side of Jacksonville two years ago. He was microchipped, but there was difficulty getting in contact with the owner. I decided to foster Dewy while we searched for his owner. The owner was eventually contacted and declined to take custody of Dewy. I have one other dog and he gets along really well with Dewy. So we decided to keep him. We weren’t sure how long we would keep him though. Dewy came with some behavioral issues. He wasn’t house broken and didn’t seem to have ever lived inside. We were eventually able to house break him. But two years later, and he still has accidents. Dewy suffers from anxiety. He doesn’t do well with strange people or dogs. He can also exhibit nervous urination when made to feel uncomfortable. He has shown aggression to strange dogs and he barks at strangers. Dewy is a fun loving, affectionate, and happy dog when around people he trust. He needs a home with experienced owners. He also needs access to a yard. There is a small re-homing fee of $200. The fee is to assure he goes to a financially stable home. Dog Puppy Adoption Doggy
