Keyboardist/synth player seeking a singer for an Atmospheric/Ethereal/Mood and World Music project. Forsaking the rock band thing, I am looking to work with an ambitious singer (and MAYBE another instrumentalist (keyboard/synths or guitar) to do something different than the rest. I am looking to create something with heavy musical roots in classical, folk and soundtrack music similar to some of my influences: Arcadia, Clannad, Enigma, Enya, Sade and Vangelis. As a duo (or trio) our GOAL should be to create our own music, sell it and perform it. We can even create music with different themes like something Celtic and then something with a Jazz elements ( I am not a true "Jazz" musician but something with that feel like in the style of what Sade would ding to. We could also work on music projects that could be played during Christmas, or whatever, to gain interest, exposure and $. The sky is the limit based on what we want to create and play out. It all depends on if we gel or not as I want a true collaboration, working as a team to help fill out weaknesses we may have to be successful. ALL of us have to have the availability to put in the time to dedicate to this project and the ambition to see it through. I prefer to work with a singer (25 years and up) that is close, being on the southside near the western branch portion of Chesapeake including Portsmouth and Suffolk. A long distance commute will most like NOT work.
