The fascist TX GOP has become increasingly emboldened over the last four years with an increasing propensity for weaponizing the state's civil courts to enforce its classist, racist moral order. When they couldn't criminalize abortions, they turned to legistlation that would allow them to deny abortion access via civil penalities and lawsuits. Now, leading members of the TX GOP are using this same tactic to target political activists and suppress free speech. As a leading member of the TX Republican party and a state Senatorial candidate, attorney Warren Norred has partnered with a wealthy Denton family and served local activist and PhD student Jessica Luther Rummel with a defamation lawuit seeking up to ONE MILLION DOLLARS in damages in response to a social media post exposing racism and police corruption in the Denton community.
