The City of Concord is looking for an experienced facilities maintenance professional to perform work at its public properties. The right individual will have a strong work ethic and enjoy supervising as well as working with a well-trained, and motivated staff. As a key member of our maintenance team you and your family will enjoy an excellent, flexible, benefits package, including a defined benefit retirement plan. Job Summary: Performs technical and supervisory work 6:30am to 3:00pm Monday through Friday. Duties include, but are not limited to; delegation of daily staffing assignments, monitoring of project progress, and procurement of project material. Coordinate contracted trade work. Perform skilled labor as needed, such as carpentry, electrical, plumbing and HVAC work. Oversee Division’s snow removal operations. The ideal candidate will be computer literate with knowledge of building DDC controls and have experience in automated workflow systems. Applicants must be able to lift 25 pounds, be able to manage work flow, have a commitment to excellence, have high standards and understand written and verbal instructions. Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution, and 5 to 7 years of progressively responsible experience in the building trades; or any combination of education, training and experience which provides the knowledge, skills and abilities required for the job. Availability after normal hours for emergencies is critical. Licenses and Certifications: Valid New Hampshire Driver’s License. Must obtain a NH Class (B) Commercial Driver’s License within 6 months of hire. Starting Salary Range: $22.28 - $26.50 hourly. Top of pay scale is $32.27.
