11 December, 2021

Description

Enjoy a Holiday celebration that's Out of This World! Participants will learn about the ways Astronauts—both past and present—have celebrated the Holidays in Space! And in commemoration of the famous “Earthrise” photo of our Planet Earth, captured from Space on Christmas Eve of 1968, you’ll make your own Stained Glass Earth ornament! Science facilitators from the Nevada Space Center will lead this Holiday-themed exploration. All activities will take place in Gallery 3 at socially-distanced tables. All participants are required to wear masks. Tickets are required for all participants, students and guardians, and participants under 13 must be accompanied by at least one guardian per six students. Activities are targeted for 3rd through 6th grade students but fun for the whole family! Program activities start at 9:30 a.m. and do not repeat. After activities, visit the rest of the museum at your own pace! Experience the past, present and future of Space Exploration! Our goal is to engage, educate and employ individuals in aerospace adventures and Nevada's new innovation economy. Join us at our developing facility within the beautiful National Automobile Museum in Reno, Nevada. And reach for the stars!
