Alaskan Leader Fisheries (ALF) is a leading longline company based out of Dutch Harbor, Alaska, and we are looking for entry level and experienced crew members to work on board our commercial fishing vessels. ALF is looking for full-time, long-term employees who are willing to work a rotating schedule throughout the year. Responsibilities include (but are not limited to): Handle Lines to tie up vessel Set and Haul gear Maintain Gear Thaw and break bait Able to work on the roller and operate the combi machine Assist on deck (dip net) Bleed Fish Run heading machine Gutting of fish and ancillary products Panning of product Load and unload freezer plates Bag and stow product Offload and backload vessel which includes: food and supplies, bait and fiber Ability to work long hours in a harsh or extreme environment Requirements: Ability to meet the physical demands of the job (standing for long periods of time, lifting 40-pound cases while stacking in the freezer) Long working hours (16-18hr work shifts) Commitment to safety rules Communication and teamwork skills If this interests you, please come see us at our event on 12/27 to learn more!
